We brought some cold weather and snow with us from UT, but still had a fun time shooting up targets on the first day. Yes, I was nervous, but they practiced very safe shooting and everyone was able to have a good time.
The next day we had fun on the zip lines that our friends have installed on their beautiful 6 acres.
Our last day there we got some warmer weather (I wouldn't say hot) and spent the day on their local lake. Dave and I took a shot at wake boarding, and we all played on the shore and soaked in some sun.
This is Dave almost getting up. The water was pretty cold though, so after a couple tries he was done.
After many many tries I got up! It was such beautiful glassy water, perfect day for it...in a wetsuit.
Dan had fun heading out in a little kayak.
Clay spent a lot of time dragging rocks and driftwood around and also took the kayak for a spin, only capsizing twice. :)
Dave took the kayak to a distant bay full of lupines and explored.
Here are some shots of their place. There is a little creek that the kids were endlessly entertained by.
Their house is on left, pool house where we stayed straight ahead. We loved seeing all the great birds in all those big trees and Dave got some good practice with his turkey call.
Sadly it was too cold to use the pool ever. That is a zip line going right over it though.
Dan caught a new froggy friend to bring home for our terrarium. The salamander seems a little put out by the company, but we are sure they will be fast friends soon.
