Always a great way to start a hike!
Gazing longingly at the water we are not allowed to approach or cool off in after all, regardless of what the film at the visitors center promised!
Dan was such a champ to always carry his backpack everywhere in the heat and never complain about it.
Finally a spot to cool off. Technically maybe it wasn't allowed, but the poor kids deserved a break!

Geared up and ready to go on our night hike to discover creepy night insects and animals! Sadly, I have no night pictures, you will have to use your imagination to picture all the creepy crawlies we discovered. Lots of cool frogs too.
